Minor League Promotions

I am having a blast playing with the free demo of this game. Its so complex and I am trying to get my head around everything before deciding whether to purcahse or not. I was wondering if there is a way to stop the automatic movement of players from AAA to AA to A so that I can manually control them.

I am using version 6

Go to your team setup screen. There is an option called "Minors Control". Do you have that set to human or computer?

That needs to be on "human" if you want to control promotions/demotions.

Actually, one more question regarding this. Having it set so that I manually control the minors, will that hinder any skills training they get from their relevant coaches and games?

You will keep getting the coaches minors updates no mather if you are who manages the minors. At the team menu, you can see a link named minors reports, click on it and you will get the reports from the minors coaches about who to promote/demote. Then you can do it manually at the transactions screen.
