Cap logo for real-life team

Hi.

I need a cap logo for my (real-life) mens fastpitch softball team. It's the Amager Vikings and the team colors are dark green, white and black.

The one that makes the best, and if the team desides it should be that one, will probably get a link and a thanks on our website www.amagervikings.dk. It's in danish but the thanks will be in english (of cause). Maybe there will also be a cap with the logo on way to the one with the selected logo.

Good luck.

Rasmus Morch
Amager Vikings Softball Club

Ps. Don't bother make one that looks like Minesota Vikings. We allready had that one some 15 years back.

Scroll down to "Portland State," there are some nice Viking logos there.

Here is a logo I use in my fictional league.

One of the great designers here, Shub, put it together for me. I had found the basic image (sorry, don't remember where I got it...hope it's not a Minnesota Vikings) and put the lettering and colors together. It is one of my favorite logos.

Sorry, I think it is the Vikings...just the reverse of their image.

Here's something I found that might work.

Thank you all for your suggestions but I was thinking more in the same style as New Jersey Jackals or Greenville Bluesmen. Those are great logos!!!

Thanx

Here are a few takes. I know they aren't that good, but I just felt like playing around.

I'm glad to see all the logo suggestions. Dbacks, you have some good ideas. Pepeda. Besides that it has to be a size that fits a cap I think the idea with the ball and the gold around it is good. I was wandering what it would look like if you left the ball and the helmet and just used the "A" and the "V". I'm not sure it would be possible with the whole name on the cap. Maybe just "Vikings". About the flare. (the light. Not sure if it's called "flare") I don't know if it is possible to put it on a cap. It would be stiched and it is difficult to make it look like that, but I can ask the company that makes the caps.

Although pepe's logo is very nice, I don't see how it's going to work for a cap logo.

A cap logo should be as simplistic as possible, and usually no more than just a few colors. I'll be surprised if they would be able to put the lens flare on a hat.

I agree with dbacks that a cap logo would look best being just a letter.

Agreed. It have to be simple, but it also have to look good. Most minorleague teams have logos where it's not only a letter but some kind of drawing. I like that and would like to have one like that on my cap. Besides. I have the option to make stiches on the cap shadow (?). (see www.xcaps.com). Pepe's idea have that kind of style. As mentioned in an earlier post it have to be smaller to fit the cap.

I was thinking. What about writing Amager Vikings in the golden border and just having the helmet on top of the ball?

what do you think about this? I think either the one with just the head or the one with the "V" behind the head can both look good for the hat. Let me know if you want me to change anything.
