OOTP5 League has Two Openings
ABL OLDSCHOOL is a 1996 Historical League which has almost reached the 1999 Trade Deadline and finds itself looking for a Reds and Cards GM. But first a bit about the league, one of the main drawing points of the league is the unique experience of watching today’s players develop in the minors. Towards that end we do not import rookies from a database based on debut year but instead the Commish creates them based on year drafted preventing players from immediately being major league ready. I know of only one league which uses this approach and that league is molded after this one and run by a friend of mine.
Details:
Back to the teams, both present a difficult challenge. The Cardinals have 85-90 win talent but have the second highest payroll in the league. Rebuilding around Marcus Giles (8 in hits) would probably be the wisest move. Prospects Austin Kearns and Aubrey Huff should also be considered cornerstones although they are still developing. The Reds are more of a challenge having little talent aside from Robby Alomar, who unfortunately has the richest Free Agent contract in league history, and 17 year old Double-A pitcher Jerome Williams. Interested parties should contact me on AIM ( Remangiii ) or E-Mail me at me@orioleshangover.com

This is a top notch league run by a dedicated commissioner. Many high quality GM's who have taught me alot. The message board can get spirited but it's all in fun. This is a great opportunity for a veteran or rookie to online play.

The Yanks came open and were filled almost as quickly, so we are still looking for a Reds and Cards GM.

This is one of my favorites....probably because i have won 2 of 3 world series. Huge diversity with gms. We have new guys, old guys, smart gm's, a couple of those wierd ones. You name it we got it, and it has been a ton of fun.
