What settings work?
I have continued my league with the current Cubs and the average batting average seems a bit too high and there are too many teams with the entire lineup with double digit homeruns.
Under the League Totals section of the basic setup screen, what setting numbers work best for the 1980+ era? Thanks again. Jeff |

Jeff, for whatever reasons, and there are a multitude of them, it is best to make a copy of your league and use it to run a test league to see how the stats will come out...league-wise and individually-wise.
Make adjustments in the League Totals for the league-wide stats and edit the player ratings to adjust them. If you are in the Manager Mode (which I don't use), you cannot edit player ratings. However, I understand there is an editor that you can download, which will allow you to turn it out of the Manager Mode. Run test leagues until you get the results you want. Then use those numbers in the real league that you want to play. If you are getting too many home runs, just INCREASE the number in the League Totals (this will lower the home runs)...and INCREASE the number of hits to lower the league batting average. If you want to raise the league batting average or home runs, you would DECREASE then. And to really refine your league totals, you should also make sure you change the doubles and triples in the proper ratios...when you increase or decrease the hits, this means you have to change the doubles and triples, too. Hope I haven't confused. If this is not clear, just ask questions and someone will help. Good Luck. Last edited by Eugene Church; 09-22-2004 at 01:23 PM. |
