Can this be done cause I don't know how...

all i want to do is play historical seasons with all-time best players with their best year stats. after each season i want to move on to the next year but keep their best actual stats and so on. i want to accumulate career stats over time and live in my baseball fantasy world.

right now i can play the first season but then the actual stats changes when i move on to the next season. any option to turn that stuff off?

can it be done? if not is their an add on to do it? if not, is anyone suggesting that this be considered for the next version? if not, am i the only one who wants this?

The OOTP career engine is designed to create each players own career by more or less randomly increase and decrease talent levels which in turn may effect ratings. Currently, there is no way to "freeze" this engine - and I don't know if this is something Markus plans to add as an option eventually or not.

I personally would like to see it. As much as I like the career mode the way it's designed now, I believe it works best with fictional players and to get a more accurate career record for real players, having the ratings stay the same is the only way to do that.
If there was a way to import year after year to the catobase and have it compile career stats while using the replay mode, that would be one option, although I'm not sure it's even a possibility for that program.
I am a big fan of all star leagues and using all the best players against each other, but when you don't see Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, Cy Young and many others develop the way you want, it can be extremely frustrating.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy an alternate universe every now and then and think it's great to see how close players can come to their real stats in the current format, but I'd also like to see an option where you don't have to wonder and can actually play with the best players using career averages or something like that and have a better, yet still not guaranteed shot at reaching some of the all-time milestones.

I have read that if you want to slowdown ratings changes in a historical league, you can set the game to "Replay" DURING THE SEASON and change it back to "Career" BEFORE YOU PROCEED TO THE NEXT SEASON.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

It won't change off season changes I don't believe.
