Question Can prospects REGAIN talent??

In all my leagues prospects are heading south like Brits on a Bank holiday weekend!! I heard a rumor that a prospect who is young enough may REGAIN some, if not all, of there previous talent drops.

IS THIS TRUE??

Please tell me it is. Make me happy. Give me PROOF.

Throughout a players career both his TALENT and RATINGS can and do go up and down. Not all will get better but some will.

I'm assuming Steve's statement would count, but as you get more acquainted with the league you'll find that draftees are notoriously unreliable. This causes many to become busts, but some turn out to be everything you thought they'd be and a few get even better. It's that way to mirror how the draft works in real life.

I'v had several players go down and then gradually regain ratings. Sometimes the ratings drop was injury induced or appeared to be.

Just like in real life, out of all of the prospects that are drafted only a few will have any kind of major league career.

I traded for a four star SP prospect, with ratings at like 7, 7, 7, but he got stuck in AAA, and his talent ratings dropped to 5, 4, 6. In September of the next season I had a big lead and one of my SP's got hurt, and this guy was the only SP in AAA that th minor report said was ready for the majors and still had option years. With low ratings he went 3-0 3.31, and when I sent him back down before the playoffs his talent ratings had jumped to 8, 8, 7. SO it is possible for prospects to drop, and then actually get better than they were to start.
