need Volusia Vigilantes logo
I would appreciate you creating a VOLUSIA VIGILANTES logo.
(only need 3 more to complete my league) Do it your way if you prefer...or use some of my suggestions. Here is what I would like: see Mission Viejo...would like you to recreate the first one listed...it has Mission Viejo...V with cowboy image...and Vigilantes. http://www.logoserver.com/Western.html Please use Orange as the primary color with Black secondary...on a white background...framed in wide Orange and wide Black border. Make "V" Orange trimmed in wide Black. Make VOLUSIA lettering and VIGILANTES lettering Orange with narrow Black trim. Place VOLUSIA where Mission Viejo is in the example (top of logo)...but make it about 66% the size of VIGILANTES...so it will show up well on OOTPB smaller screens. Make Vigilante image Black (face and hat) with Red neckerchief or scarf. Place on White background. Frame in wide Orange and wide Black borders. Thanks for sharing your graphic talents and skills. Volusia is a town of 44,000 in the rugged foothills of the Silver Mountains in west central Ruthlandia (named for Babe Ruth) and situated on the Silver River, which runs west to east across the country and empties into Belair Bay. Volusia is only 20 miles east of the capital city, Forest City, which is located at the important intersection of the Silver River and the Green River which runs from Upland in the Appian Mountains in the north to Glasco in the south and runs into the Southern Sea. Volusia in the early years was a mining town (gold and silver), the third settlement in the country after Belair Beach and LaGrange...and like LaGrange was part of the 1850's Gold Rush...settled by Spanish and English emigres, who became sheepherders and farmers, known for fine woolen clothing and textiles...timber and paper products are also produced...the Spanish settlers were some of the early baseball enthusiasts in Ruthlandia and they organized the second amateur team in the country (LaGrange was first)...Because of their cultural practice of "siestas", Spanish-owned companies gave their employees time off from 12 to 4 each day so they could attend the local teams' games with their family...a practice and custom eventually adopted by all the towns in baseball-crazed Ruthlandia...Spanish and English languages are both spoken by the townspeople...Volusia is also home of the Vigilantes of the Federal Baseball Association, so named for the citizen-lawmen, who brought law and order to the lawless Wild, Wild West in the Gold Rush days of the 1850's....Officially the Vigilantes play at Riverside Park overlooking the beautiful Silver River, but it is often referred to as "The Jailhouse" by the locals...It is located right across the street from the police station...The lovely live oak trees that still dominate the city park area were many times in Volusia's early history used for vigilante frontier justice. I will be off line for a day or two...moving to a new house. If anyone does this...I will thank you in a few days. Last edited by Eugene Church; 08-24-2004 at 12:23 PM. |

As always, nml...very well done...just like I requested.
Thank you very much. The logo is fine the way it is, but would show up better if you could make these changes. If possible, make the lettering on Volusia and Vigillantes Black...with no trim. There are black horizontal lines in the middle of the letters that clutter up the letters (only on Volusia and Vigillantes...the large "V" is fine) and make them hard to read on the game's median screens. Remove them if you can...or use another font if that will be easier. Don't do the changes if it takes much time. Last edited by Eugene Church; 08-25-2004 at 11:34 AM. |

nml: if you can easily correct it, please do so...if not, I can live the two "L's". It is still one mighty fine logo. |
