Mouse pointer disappears

Every time I load up OOTP6, I lose my mouse pointer. I have to navigate around by finding which buttons are pressed down, it's slow and incredibly annoying.

I run Windows ME, 256 RAM, 1.4 GHz, 40 gigs of space, and I've never had a problem with my mouse pointer. I use the tail on it, so maybe that's a problem?

If there is nothing I can do, is there I way I can run the game in a window instead of fullscreen or through using the keyboard + tab button?

Any help would be appreciated.

Whatelse do you have running, even in the background(virus, etc)?

Sorry about the delayed response, I forgot about this. I solved the problem fairly easily.

I turned off pointer trails.
