Here are a few excerpts from Babe Ruth's 1919 month of April in my historical solo league.
Monday 4/9/1919 Player of the Week honors go to Ruth and Johnston The Player of the Week award in the American League goes to Boston (A)'s Babe Ruth this time, as the centerfielder displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. He hit .905 with 10 RBI and slugged 1.524 in 21 at bats. He got at least one hit each game this week and is on a 7 game hitting streak right now. Thursday 4/12/1919 Boston (A)'s Babe Ruth slams five hits CHICAGO (A) - Babe Ruth hits 'em where they ain't. Chicago (A) certainly agrees as Boston (A)'s centerfielder unloaded five hits, adding to his reputation of being one of the best pure hitters in the game. Number 3 in the 5th inning, a shot estimated 446 at feet, cleared the wall in right-center. In the 7th inning he belted a RBI double off Doc White. A double off Mellie Wolfgang in the 9th inning accounted for his 5th hit. He collected singles in the 1st inning (one RBI) and in the 3rd inning . Babe scored 2 runs, and he collected 3 RBI as well! He's having a very good season so far, batting .930. Boston (A) improved it's record to 10-2, scoring 5 runs on 10 hits. Monday 4/16/1919 Ruth (BOS) and Zimmerman (CHN) win P.O.W. award The American League's best player of the week was Boston (A)'s Babe Ruth, who wins the award for the 2nd time in his career. Babe went 26 for 28 (.929), while hitting 5 HR and collecting 15 RBI. Babe managed to drive in at least one run in every game he played this week. He has hit 9 bombs while batting .904 this season. His 47 hits and 11 walks add up to a .923 on-base percentage. He's 1st in the American League in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI! Monday 4/23/1919 Boston (A)'s Ruth wins Player of the Week award The Player of the Week award in the American League goes to Boston (A)'s Babe Ruth this time, as the centerfielder displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. He hit .682 with 4 RBI and slugged .955 in 22 at bats. Tuesday 5/1/1919 Ruth (BOS) and Zimmerman (CHN) win monthly award It's the 2nd time that the American League Batter of the Month award goes to Boston (A)'s centerfielder Babe Ruth. In 96 at bats he hit .781 with 11 HR and 36 RBI.

That is a month of "Ruthian" proportions. WOWSERS. I have never had a season that Ruth has fared well... maybe it's my distaste for the Sox!!

Not exactly. I felt a little guilty in doing it but I ordered a trade from Brooklyn to New York. I simply couldn't imagine Ruth as a Dodger, it just didn't feel right. I made sure that it wasn't a givaway trade, I had New York ask for Ruth, and played around until it worked.
