Lahman database 5.1 Issue

I am using OOTP6, with a league imported from OOTP 5, and I also recently upgraded to Lahman Database 5.1. Season started in 1969, and am currently in 1997 offseason. I use real rookies imported from Lahman database and draft them each pre-season. During the "proceed to next season" process, I was only able to upload a handful of players. While using OOTP 5 and Lahman 5.0, I never had any issue...has anyone had a similar issue with version 6 or Lahman 5.1? Is there a compatibility problem I don't know about - which I think not because I was able to get a few players???

Any help would be appreciated?

Thanks Dave

I know that at some point the team abbreviations were changed in the Lahman Database. I can't remember which version this occurred in though. Maybe that could cause the problem?

Need Some Help With Lahman's

I just purchased OOTP6 and I am having a blast with what came with the game. Now I am wanting to go back to the 1970 season and progress with each season after that. I have been looking thru all the e-mails and it looks like the one to get is Lahman's 5.1. Is this THE one to get? I noticed and checked out where to download the file...I would like to know the steps to use to put it in the OOTP6 game. When I download the file, does it have a readme file to tell me how to use it in the game? Just looking for a little advice before I do this.
Thank you very much to whom ever answers this.

No, the Lahman and OOTP are not affiliated so the Lahman doesn't have any information pertaining to OOTP. You simply unzip the database to a directory of your choosing and then just tell OOTP where to find it when you import the players. There are several edited versions of the Lahman that you can use as well. Ankit has done some nice work with them.

I also have been trying to import rookies from the latest Lahman DB and also only get 2-3 players per season. So far I've gone through the 1999 and 2000 offseasons.

So some help with this issue would be appreciated. Is there something we must do besides simply identifying the proper folder?

I like Ankit's Career Average version myself. His versions DO have a readme file with instructions also. You can unzip to a directory anywhere. I use C:/STATS

Do you import them as rookies or assign them to their original teams? I always get 100+ playing through the early 80's. I know that if you assign them you'll run into problems if the team abbreviations don't match, but I'm not sure why you'd have problems if you are bringing them in for an ammy draft.

Ya I am assigning them to teams...which is what I'd like to do...but I will check on the abbreviation issue.

Sixto, I have also run into this issue. I usually run into problems about the 95 to 96 draft where only 4-5 players show up into the draft. I have messed with this quite abit and never was able to resolve the issue. I assume it's a problem with Lahman, since I took Ankits database and had no problems with my tests. The problem with Ankits if your still using the Lahman database is their will duplicated players for about the first 3 years which you will have to go through and delete.
