The Cycle
I'm sure most people don't keep track of this, but I just noticed that in the league that I'm playing out ever game, I have had NINE (9)!!!!!!!! cycles in the league and two* on the same day. Whats the most cycles other people have had in one year??
Jeff Kent (9/26/2004) Brian Daubach (9/23/2004) Bernie Williams (9/14/2004) Alex Rodriguez (9/12/2004) Magglio Ordonez (8/15/2004) Mark Kotsay (5/14/2004) Trot Nixon (4/30/2004) Mark Loretta (4/11/2004) Jason Lane (4/11/2004) Last edited by tim_uwrf; 08-10-2004 at 10:04 PM. I've seen 3 or 4 in a year, too high I would say.

I don't think I will get OOTP6, unless I stumble upon a free version - and by free version, I don't mean stealing or taking a license by someone. I mean if I were walking down there street and there were the license writen on the sidewalk.

HFTC has had back to back years now with 5 cycles (our current high). Although we are almost half way through our current season and we've had only one this season.
The MLB average since the last expansion is something like 3.33 or 3.66 per year (can't remember atm) and it was trending up. Our league was dead on the average until last season when we got five bumped us up a tad. Looks like this season may be bumping our average back down. |

A lot of folks think historically when considering cycles, but you have to consider and look at the huge increase in total number of games that are being played now with 30 teams versus many less teams in past points of history. That alone will help bump up the average number of cycles per year.
