Online League suggestions
I'd like to see some chanes made specifically for online leagues.
In summary, here are my ideas. 1. Financial projections based on season perfomance thus far. Basically, having the game calculate how much you will money you will have by seasons end based on attendance and merch sales thus far. This would help some players in trying to avoid going deep into debt by showing them how much they are making. Perhaps having a chart showing income like the attendance could be implemented. 2. Season Ticket sales and revamped ticket prices Season Tickets sales would be a major boon if possible to do. Season ticket sales would really help out smart and crafty GM's by having a large portion of ticket sold before the season starts based on fan loyalty, market size, etc. smaller market teams would also benefit because season tickets ain't refundalbe, so if you fall apart halfway through the season, you've still got the cash you generated by season ticket sales. Based on season ticket sales, a certain number of seats would be pre sold for all games. As for a pricing revamp, Players could set prices for box seats, infield seats, pavillion, upper deck, etc. having all tickets be $10 is unrealistic in my view. Say I want to make the cheap seats ($15 for the worst seats in the place seems to be about the norm) a bit cheaper to get the casual fan to come out. I should be able to keep the more expensive and better seats at a higher price. I think there all the info on seat availability and pricing is available online, and it wouldn't be too hard for people to make stadiums with the correct number of box seats, etc available. 3. In game waivers revamp I'd like to be able to use waivers in the game somehow without having to rely on the commish to make all the moves. I guess my idea is as follows: Players could place guys on waivers, then the game could ask you want you want to do if they are claimed or not claimed, with it being password protected of course. (Thinking something along the lines of: Let him go, keep him, release him, XX hour period) I'm thinking the XX hour period part could be handled like real life. Teams could have 6 days or whatever to decide on if to let a player go, remove him from waivers, or trade him, based on the length of the sim. (Possibly after the deadline, too) The league commish could change the waiting period in days to allow teams to make decisions. Say your sim period is one week each sim. Waivers and claims would be done on the last day of the sim, so if you put a player on waivers, the commish could set it so the player is actually placed on waivers on the 2nd to last day of the sim, meaning he will have one left then the next sim starts. If a player is claimed, the waiving team would see who won the claim, and could decide what to do. Or if the GM decides he's just trying to get rid of the guy, he can have the claim go though and avoid the waiting period. It's a bit complicated, but I think I explained it well enough, I hope. By making the waiver system more customizable, it would help the different leagues change the system to fit their needs. I think that's all I have for now. |
