Teflon Skies stadium series...size problem

Some of Teflon Skies stadiums are 192 x 144 x 8 BPP.
When I installed these, they were blurry.

I am computer-challenged, but have installed other Teflon Skies and Henry stadiums successfully. These were 640 x 480 x 24 BPP.

Do they have to be converted to 640 x 480 x 24 BPP to work in the game?

If it is possible to do this, I would appreciate detailed, step-by-step instructions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Eugene, you need to reconvert the stadiums to .bmp. When you batch convert them in Irfanview, this time check "Use Advanced Options" in the conversion screen and then select "Set Advanced Options." Now click "Resize" and set the conversion size to be 640 x 480. That will make what you need.

MD, thanks again for your help and expertise.

Thanks to you and several others, I know how to use Irfanview.

Teflon Skies stadiums are so great...I was worried I wouldn't be able to use them all.

Woops, I spoke prematurely...I don't know how to use Irfanview.

Here's what I did...tell me where I am going wrong:

Start up Irfanview...Go to File...select "batch conversion/rename"...
Cursor is blinking in "file name"..."JPG/JPEG-JPG Files" is in "files of type"...
"stadium downloads" is in "Look in"..."stadium downloads" folder is in the box below "Look in"...in the "output directory" is "c:\"...in "Work as" "batch conversion" is checked..."output format" is "bmp-windows BMP"...checked "use advanced options"...then clicked "set advanced options"...this changes screen...check "resize"...typed in "width" 640...typed in "height" 480...then clicked "OK"...this takes me back to the previous screen...the prompt is no longer blinking in the File Name Box...should I put something there?

To convert the photos recently, I highlighted the folder in the box below "Look in"...clicked "add all" and then "start"...and they were converted.
Nothing happens when I do this with the stadiums.

Sorry to be so detailed, but nothing about computers is intuitive to me.

What am I doing wrong?

Eugene, did you click "Add" to add the stadiums to be converted?

I tried both "add all" and "add".

When I clicked "add all" for the photos, they popped up on the left side of the screen...and then I clicked "start"...and the photos was converted.

Doesn't seem to work for stadium conversion.

I will try again and see if I can figure it out.

Looking at the details of what I did...in the post prior to yours...did I fill in all the info correctly?

I don't know why you are having trouble batch converting(and honestly I don't remember any of Teflon's not being the right size) but anyway you can resize them individually.

Open up one of the pics you want to resize with irfanview
On the toolbar go to Image > Resize/Resample
Enter the new size 640 x 480
Uncheck the preserve aspect ratio box
Hit ok

Then finally save the picture as a bmp.

I did as you said, but the image came out blurry...even at 640 x 480.

When you said Teflon's were always the right size, I did a search for the stadium I wanted and found it. It was the right size. Downloaded it and installed it.

Now the Ft. Benton Defenders of the Federal Baseball Association of Ruthlandia (named for the Babe) have a magnificent mountaintop stadium...Sky High Stadium...compliments of Ktulu...and of course, Teflon Skies.
