Request for CatoBase

Jeff,

1st, I love your CatoBase...it is essential for Historic Leagues.

I was wondering, however, if these 3 things could be implemented.

1) All-Star MVP-Points toward the players stats in the AS BoxScore
1a) World Series/LCS MVP-Shows stats of the Series

2) Career Leaderboard by position- I know it's there for the season, I have looked for Career but haven't seen it if it is there. This would be great to see things such as Piazza's milestone this year.

Catobase Wishes...

I would like to see a few things if possible...

1. Pre-simmed stats included into leader boards (optional of course). I just hate it when I create a league and my leaders for the first year are just the first year stats when I have players with 15 pre-simmed years and would not make my hall of fame. I had been creating mock CSV files and importing them into the database for all active players...

2. Ability to have multiple databases to break down a league into periods so that the leader boards are rebuilt but that the program doesnot need to go thru every season. Currently it takes 14 hours to process my league (89 seasons and growing)..... I did a test and created multiple MDB files then wrote a query to bring the data into the most current database for active players. This allowed me to have current records over multiple databases but did not allow me to have a leader board across multiple databases......This would require creating a few more tables (career and leader boards) but would allow the program to crunch the numbers quicker....

These are just a few ideas, I enjoy the program but it is now taking over 14 hours to compile stats for my league......I now only run the create html once every 10 seasons....but find myself using the tables and writing my own queries and reports from the data. Also my current MDB file is 485 MB and growing. That is why I would like to see the program allow multiple database to speed things up abit.....

Thanks,

Additionally...

I've been manually editing the HTML to do this . . . but it would be nice if you can assign a team to those in the Hall of Fame.

I've simply been adding the team immediately under the players name and it's a nice touch.

Thanks for a great add-on!
