Abnormal program termination

Just installed 6.03 and tried to create a new league and had a C++ runtime error saying abnormal program termination. I can't create new leagues or even run previously created ones. I have not installed any new programs, so I'm pretty sure the problem is in the patch.

Try downloading the patch again. It sounds like you got a corruption on the download.

This is the exact same problem I have been having for 3-4 weeks.

just reinstalled patch, which didn't change anything

This has just happened to me as well. Exact message is:
"Runtime Error!
Program:...gram Files\Out Of The Park Developments\OOTP6\OOTP6.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more details."

I tried re-downloading and installing 6.03 but still the same message. I had just simmed a month when the message came up, now it appears on the initial loading screen. Hitting OK just exits the program.

Guess I'll hold off on that reformat till I see how you guys come out.

What OS are you guys running? Did you try completely uninstalling and reinstalling?

I reinstalled the game and that seems to have taken care of the problem. Thanks your highness.

OK, I know this is gonna sound stupid, but I restarted my computer...and that solved it. So simple really.

I have been having a C++ runtime error since ootp4... it's always happened to me & comes about at random times, but particularly when advancing to the next season... Since it happened in ootp4, 5 and now 6, I suppose there's something my system needs?

I'm running XP on a IBM thinkpad w/ pentium 4... what other info might you need & where do I find it?

I attached the error message....

I have reinstalled both game and patch . I still get error when advancing to next season. I am using XP. please help.

I remembered when I copied a 2003 schedule.dat file for some reason I changed the start date to 3/22 but I went back and changed it to 1/16 and my season proceeded to the next without a problem.
