I am confused with the financial setup
When I go to set up a custom historical league, it won't let me adjust player's salaries like it says it will.
I go to the financial area and make the minimum salary $3,000 instead of $300,000.. it lets me, and says it will adjust veteran salaries accordingly.. but it doesn't The veterans still have multi-million dollar salaries, even in the early 1900s. Is there a way to fix it so I can make the $10,000,000 player a $100,000 player? Thanks! |

You can't adjust them THAT low, I think that 100K is as low as they can be set.

Thanks.
Okay, I was just wondering... it doesn't seem that accurate to me with multimillion dollar salaries in the early 1900s.
Of course, free agency the isn't accurate either.. but I suppose it is just a game. |

I foound a way to make it sorta work in OOTP5, but it was a royal pain to set up.
the basics, turn off arbitration, no tv money, adjust all stadiums to like 5000 seats or something like that, you will need to adjust all contracts down down down(i did it by creating a fictional league with no players and used the fill minors option, it was easier) I was recreating a minor league type league so I didn't have to mess with real player contracts. don't forget merchendising down to almost nothing. basicly teams cannot have money to spend to increase salary. it seems that they respond to scale as long as nothing is there to throw off the scale (arbitration)it seemed to work. on occasion a player would ask for more than any team could afford but i would just place him to the previous team with a reasonable contract. doing this for a historical league would be a real pain so i never tried.
