I've been off the boards for a while and I want to be sure as my online league is moving to OOTP 6 right now. What is the best % to use so great players are not released or put on the wire b/c they started off cold?

Many People have adopted Henry's gradual progression (ratings, current year, prior year, two years ago):

April 50%, 0%, 30%, 20%
May 50%, 5%, 30%, 15%
June 50%, 10%, 30%, 10%
July 50%, 15%, 30%, 5%
Aug 50%, 20%, 30%, 0%
Sept 50%, 25%, 25%, 0%

I place a little more stock in ratings (thereby depending upon scouts a bit more), and so I bump my ratings all the way up to 65% or even 70%. It's all a matter of personal taste - I like a bit of garlic and dill added in.

Also, it's recommended to set your trade sliders to "seldom" and "favor prospects." Trading ease is another setting that people generally seem to like at the more difficult levels.

I drop my ratings down to 30% so the AI has more of a human element to it.
