will this player be a free agent?

i have a player it shows Possible Arbitration.
his salary is currently $303,000

its aug 31, 2004 in the game

it shows that this player has Years of MLB Service 2 Year(s), 12 Days (356 total Days).

will he be a free agent, get arbitration, or be automatic resign?

Season has ~30 days left (assuming it runs through about the end of Sept), so the guy won't have more than maybe 2yr 50days of MLB service. Less than 3 years means he will be an auto-resign, if he is making the league minimum. It is odd that he is not, so I am not certain how it will go. I would guess that he will be treated like an auto-resign but get $303k next season also.

Do us a favor and drop a note here after you see what happens to him.

i sure will..its an online league so once we done i let you know..

i firgure less than 3 years , he will be a resign if making league minium (300,000) but we are using real player roster and his salary is 303, 000

he still in the minors league, so it will be interesting to see if he gets the resign or be a free agent....

i like this player but not sure to sign him to an extension or risk losing him to free agent.. if its an automatic resign , i dont have to guess if i have to give him an extension....

On ootp 6, i just wish on the salary report it will actually tells for sure what going to happen for next season

I believe that if a player has a contract higher than league minimum, then the arby and auto resign rules aren't followed. When that contract is up he will become a free agent. I'm pretty sure this is the way it works in OOTP6.

on this new patch 6.03

markus says " Fixed salary and possible free agent reports. The latter now displays players who have reached 6 years of MLB service
and so are definitely FA at the end of the season."

so if that true, then the free agent report doesnt show that player as a free agent for next season...i dont see him listed there...
only on salary report it shows possible artribation..

so can i assume that player i said above will not be a free agent but a automatic resign? he has MLB Service 2 Year(s), 12 Days (356 total Days). at end of August.. and with his salary above minimum at 303,000 and he doesnt have 6 years IN MLB..

am i correct?
