What does it take to get a Good Trade Offer?
Haven't visited this board in a long time and I'm sure this topic had been brought up a million times but since the search tool is disabled...
I've have never had a half decent trade off in OOTP6. I'm only playing at Minor Leaguer (Easy) level and have Trading Difficulty set to Easy. The only trade offers I get are AI teams wanting to dump overpaid has beens or never will be's on me for my top players. My biggest fear is that when I open the trade offer window, I will accidentally click on the "accept trade" button instead of the "decline trade" button. I wish there were an option to click on a " Go away. I don't talk to crazies! " or a "What do you think I am?! A moron? Get outta here!!" button in this sim. Is there just a bug in the trade logic of OOTP? Has anyone ever had a decent trade offer?? Thanks |

LMAO.
I've had a few decent trade offers, before. Not many, but a few. What I'd recommend is to set the AI player evaluation settings to exactly what you'd look at. I'm a ratings man, so I set it heavily weighted toward ratings. I also like younger players and prospects, so I set the trade preferences to prefer prospects - not heavily, but still preferring them. After that, good luck. Almost every single good trade I've made with the computer has been at my behest, but it's still worth a try.
