New Patch - Fighter Ratings versus Results
Hello Boxing Cogniscenti -
Please forgive me if this question has been answered ad infinitum before, but maybe this can serve as a primer for the future. I am getting ready to download the new 1.6 patch, and apparently the updates to the ratings of designated fighters are associated with the new patch. Here's the scenario: I'd like to get the latest official ratings of all the fighters. But I do not want to overwrite what previous versions of the fighters have already achieved - their accumulated histories and records. Is this something achievable or do you in essence get a new database that starts from scratch? This question has validity whenever fighters ratings are changed and there is NOT a patch update associated too. Anybody able to break down this problem step by step simply for me? Your assistance would be hugely appreciated! In the "old days", sometimes we'd get a listing of what ratings and measurements changed for a specific fighter and we could go in and change them ourselves - a little more hands on perhaps, but something easy to grasp and assured not to mess up the fighters history of accomplishment in the game. Geoff

Hi Geoff,
It would be great if that was possible, but I don't think you can import just the ratings. What I've been doing is DLing the new fighters file, importing them ONE AT A TIME...and toggling between the new version and my established version of the fighter, then making the adjustments to my fighter, rerating him if necessary, then deleting the "new" fighter. It's time consuming, and a bit hard on the eyes after a while but it's the only way I know of right now. Start out rerating your top ten guys, then do a little at a time afterwards. -JIM |
