Sources of letter logos, generic logos?

OK, I did a search but couldn't find anything helpful. I'm wondering if somebody out there knows of a source of letter logos and/or generic picture logos without words on them.

You can see from my sig the kinds of teams I play. I found some great stuff at a site called the logo bank, including some for Havana, but my solo Havana team is called the Angels.

My Philippine league consists of Naga City, Legaspi, Sorsogon, Daet, Makati, Taguig, Bagio, San Pedro, Iloilo, Ormoc, Bacolod, Tacloban, Dipolog, Zamboanga, Jolo and Surigao.

My African and Turkish leagues...well, let's just say it would be cool to find some nice looking letter logos...

I'm not sure if this is the type of thing your looking for, but today I started playing around with large letter logos for the game. Here is an example, I have already added a small grahic to these, I was thinking of doing the set so that the back ground color and leter color could be changed.

Those are pretty nice! However, I'd like to find some without a graphic, or at least a "neutral" graphic. I'm personally not too keen on Indians as mascots...

This is more of what I was thinking, no graphic, a base like one of the three shown below or just a solid color, and one for each letter of the alphabet. The letters could either be in on set color or varies colors, but they would have no beveling etc., so that anyone could use a color replacer to change the color easily. A graphics program could be used to add a graphic or text for city or team name. Anyone interested in something like this, if so what are your thoughts?

Both are very nice.

The second set would probably be very helpful to those that are graphically challenged.

I would probably make use of your letters...when I get a little more proficient in logo basics.

These letters definitely would show up well on the game screens.

Lately I have developed a taste for simple logos with letters rather than full city name.

Keep up the good work and the good ideas.

Well from the response I took something like the first background and have tried a number of different fonts. The background wouldnt be changed, but the text color could be. What font looks the best? I suppose it would be fairly easy to do a complete set of about 4-5 different fonts.

Thanks for the feedback, Im going to do 4 sets each with a different font, each font a different color. Anyone will be able to change the font color if they have a replacer brush, the background wont be easy to change. Here are some ideas I have for using them.

They look fantastic! I really like the use of team nicknames. The only thing I'd say is that by putting the actual team names on, you slighlty limit the wonderful flexibility these things might have. It could be the Halifax, Hawaii etc. etc.

Yes these are just samples of what they can be used for, the sets themselves wont have anything except the letter, it will be up to people to add what they want.

What would be the best colors for the letters for the 4 sets??

I like the unique placement of the nicknames, figures and city name.

Colors: A (royal blue), C (orange), D (deep red or crimson).

4th color choice would be Navy Blue or Green.

This is a great idea.

My only suggestion...how would these colors look on a light gray background? Since road uniforms are often gray or at least used to be... just wondered how they would look?

I had some time today so have completed two sets and they are ready for download. So far I have done two text fonts, Times New Roman and Forte, here is what they look like.

I have zipped the sets, logos with the 26 letters plus for those of you that have Photo Shop, Paint Shop or another graphic program that can use layers I have included a PSP file with the background and the 26 letter layers. You can change the letter colors with color exchange brush and bevel the letters etc.. I tried them in the game and it looks as if there are no transparence problems, let me know if you have any.
