I have a secret and I'm not telling...
Edit: my evil twin, BPS-lite, posted the message below. Please don't waste your time reading it. I leave the original wording of the post for all to see as part of my penance.
Quote:
Really now: no manual, patchs issued that alter the game in significant ways without anyone being told about it at release time, .... How's a guy supposed to play the game! (Anticipated response by some: "Yawn, look at the board you dummy: all your questions can be answered there." Yada, yada, yada...)

The manual is being worked on as mentioned in another sticky. I cannot tell for sure if you are being sarcastic or not with the mysterious thread title, apparent complaints, anticipated response, smiley. What do you want to hear? |

It was in the 6.02a patch notes. Hello! Anyone home?

Will some people next ask that the board be subjected to some purity requirement: anyone who says anything against the wonderous game OOTP will be excommunicated! |

1. Only post positive opinions about the game or you are subject to being flamed. 2. If you have a low post count don't expect to be taking seriously. After all, post counts are what matters most in life.

Ooooo - OOTP excommunication? Sounds interesting. Maybe we could have OOTP possession, too; "My keyboard has been taken over by the spirit of Henry...." j/k
![]() Actually, guys, instead of feeling like you have to constrict your opinions, if someone starts flaming you just add them to your ignore list. You can do this by clicking on their name and selecting this option down at the bottom of their profile. In this case, however, I think some people were just having a bit of fun at your expense. Don't get me wrong, there are moments when someone is deserving of flaming, but asking innocent questions IMO are not such examples. Just do yourself the favor of a search, because most likely the answer is in there and you won't have to wait for a response. - Dan

BPS,
I was simply saying the thread should be closed because you posed a rhetorical question in a sarcastic way (at least how I read it) when the answer you were looking for was posted as a sticky at the top of the board. You were wrong, you admitted it, what more discussion will there be on this thread besides a million other "It's on the sticky post" thread posts. Normally, I stay out of questioning people's motives for posting, but frankly, I've noticed a lot of negativity and bickering in the past 24 hours since the patch has been released (about the manual, the slow down, the perceived lack of notification from development) I just felt that someone posting a sarcastic thread about a non issue should be closed so we can just move on and talk about baseball...maybe I'm sorry if my post came off any other way. |

However, putting someone on an ignore list just permits them to continue in their bullying behavior (out of my sight) which, frankly, bothers me. But--more to the point--seeing these bullying messages just gives me a chance to employ my rapier-like wit and talent for obfuscation (and up my message count so that I can gain the respect I so need in my near meaningless life).

BPS -
LOL. Bravo, my good man. Just remember to - every once in awhile - throw in the phrase "Have at thee, foul knave!"
