Perfect Games?
Sandy Koufax was a Maury Wills error away from a perfect game in my 1965 replay league. It was pretty exciting to be playing this one out. Has anyone had perfect games and does OOTP recognize them as perfect games? or just no hitters in the PBP? Tell me your perfect game near misses too.

I had a pitcher, toss a perfect game and OOTP does recognize perfect games. It was very exciting. My pitcher was one with great ratings, but never met his potential. But he was one of those guys, who when he was on, was really on and had potential. These are they type of things I love about this game!

I haven't played a pefecto, but my league has had several. In the 100 years I simmed to give my league history before taking over a team, I've had 49 perfect games. 3 were thrown in 1916 for the most in a year. I had two thrown in a single week in 1953, and one pitcher threw 2 in three starts in 1964.
My league totals, BTW, are far from dead-ball. The league leaders in BA are around .350 every year, with a record of .418. HR leaders hit 55-60 a year, with a record of 81.

Javier Vazquez threw one for my Cubs. Kind of funny though it's the second best pitching performance in the season's top performances. Another pitcher threw a one hitter with no walks and more k's and scored higher.
The final out is nerve racking. In my game Brian Giles was getting the day off and I just knew that the Pirates would pinch hit with him. Certainly not some slug coming to the plate to complete the no-no. Vazquez it tiring quickly and I'm afraid of Giles fouling off some pitches but a simple fly to right and it's over.

I recall hearing, indirectly, about two pitchers taking no-hitters into the 9th and homering off each other.
