Logos needed for 1901 league...
Had some owners that didn't/couldn't find any logos for their teams, and I have no graphical skills whatsoever.
Anyone wanna make some logos up for the following teams? Bronx Bad Boyz St. Louis Hourmen Michigan Sharks Miami Tidecats Thanks! |

His intent was to make fun of the Minutemen....
So think, 1776 Revolutionary soldier??? But instead, 1901, and in St. Louis? *heh* It's a tough one, I realize. He may just get a generic St. Louis logo soon. |

Hourmen idea:
Make a clock with baseball bats for the hands...or maybe muskets for the hands. Place a baseball as the center point of the clock with the hands radiating out of it. Put hours 12, 3, 6, and 9 on the clock. Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-22-2004 at 12:41 AM. |

I actually downloaded GIMP and gave it a try myself.
My result wasn't bad. And after losing all my work twice *sigh*, I came up with this: |

Nice effort...
Would shorter bats look better...they wouldn't cover the numbers. Maybe you could replace all the numbers except for 12, 3, 6, and 9 with baseballs...just a thought. Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-22-2004 at 11:39 PM. |

Only working in Paint, and with basic cut & paste, so I've just been able to adapt a logo from my solo league [which was adapted from a UK rugby club]. But, here's my attempt for the Michigan Sharks.

Here's one you could try for Miami. I'm not real pleased with the lettering but the art came out OK I think.

Cardinal Rule:
You really nailed the Tidal Cats with the wave and cat...excellent. I agree the lettering looks like it is jammed to the top and bottom. Would a smaller Tidal Wave figure give you room to improve the lettering? |

I love the Tidecats logo! I'll forward it on to the owner. Thanks!
I think all I'm missing now is a logo for the Bronx Bad Boyz. |

Here's a revised Tidecats - I think the lettering is better on this one.

That Tidal Cats is very very fine...and you improved the lettering with #2.
You must have created this yourself...I have never seen a logo that fits the nickname so well...and Tidal Cats is not a common everyday nickname. Well done. |

davwms, those are extremely well done.
I hope you do some of my future requests. You are an expert. It is great to have someone of your graphics skill on the Logos Forum. |
