Injuries and DL

I notice in OOTP that there is an option for a 15 or a 60-day DL when you place someone there.

My question:
If the player is out for 4 weeks (approx 30 days), he is obviously NOT placed on the 60-day DL, but what happens when his time is up on the 15-day DL, and he still has about two weeks of recovery?

What do teams in RL do?

They leave them on the DL. The one thing that OOTP doesn't do is allow for rehab assignments, and I don't mean of the Steve Howe variety. Maybe that's something that Markus can include in the SI version of this game.
