Vancouver Jackalopes!

I made a couple logos that won't be used in my league so I am posting them here for general consumption.

Apparently you have not taken long car trips through the midwest When I was a kid my family would take an annual trip to South Dakota. Every truck stop, gift shop, and convenince store had postcards with the mysterious jackalope pictured. Usually it would show a man standing next to a 15 foot tall rabbit with antlers or some variation.

"The jackalope is an antlered species of rabbit, unfortunately rumored to be extinct, though occasional sightings of this rare creature continue to occur, suggesting that pockets of jackalope populations continue to persist in its native home, the American West."

back in the day, some 20 years ago now (oh, crap i am getting old) the family would pile into the motorhome (it was the 69 cougar b4 the MH) and take summer long vacations, we rode in the thing from here (sacramento) all the way to Nova Scotia and back, god that was awful, maybe being stuck in the thing with 3 of my sisters and none of my brothers had something to do with it. Sorry rambeling.

anyway, i remember seeing and/or hearing about lots of strange animals. But nothing about this rabbit thing. I feel bad for the first bunny that was apparently, ummmmmm nevermind.

An interesting point to note about the jackalope is that the legend (assuming there never really was such a 'truly' antlered rabbit) likely stemmed from a disease contracted by rabbits that spurs bone-like growth around their heads looking in some cases like antlers. IIRC this disease eventually winds up killing the rabbit. I don't remember what it's called now, but some turned up in rural Nebraska not long ago and they had an article in the paper about it. So now you know one more bit of useless knowledge...
