Always have this problem.

Everytime I go to trade and try to look at the player information window my game performs an illegal operation. Anything I can do to fix this?

I recall some people mentioning that they experienced this problem before the patch was released. Have you applied the patch?

conman,

Have you tried reinstalling the game ? This is a complaint only a few have had, and none on the beta team have been able to duplicate - thus a hint that this has more to do with the customers PC rather than the game.

At least a reinstall would rule out the chance of a bad original installation.

Also, you could sacrifice a live chicken to Papa Legba over your keyboard.

Hey, it worked for a guy with chronic OOTP4 problems once.

Appears to be a problem with the OS.

This wasn't fixed with the most recent patch.

The workaround until a fix comes is to not left click in the trade screen. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the next patch (or, we will upgrade our computers, a more fruitful venture).

If you are running Windows 98 or Windows ME, then upgrade to Windows XP ***IMMEDIATELY***.

Quick question you Windows 98 people with this bug. Do you have the latest version of Internet Explorer? MS updates COMCTL32.DLL with Internet Explorer and the crash is likely due to an older version of that file.
