Chris Eubank - wildhawke11?

wildhawke11: I think you're from the UK & I was just curious about your opinion of Eubank's punching power?

Yesterday I watched a show called "101 Great KO's" & the fights we're almost all in England. I always thought Chris was more of a boxer but they showed 2-3 of his KO's where he just dropped/KO'd the guy with 1 shot (a right cross) - more like a Nigel Benn or Tommy Hearns type power. Anyway, just wanted your take on him & his punching power because those KO's showed he sure has 1 punch power!

They also had KO's of a Cruiser named Darren Corbett who's from N. Ireland. Every time he KO'd a guy, he seemed to do some jump or strange gesture. Did you see many of his fights? Seemed like the type of fighter most fans would either hate or love - almost like I heard fans felt towards Eubank.

Chris Eubank could hit really hard, but not quite as hard as Benn or Hearns.

As SMWs both Hearns and Benn are rated an 8 for punch power
poor old Chris is only a 2. which is far to low.

In fact reality is if there 8, he should be a 6 but never lose sight of the fact its numbers relating and a 6 would overate him in this game when you combine his other stats

He was one tough guy who had a great chin but he never really did enough in a lot of his fights.

I would jump his Punch Power up to a 4 this will keep his rating at still a 10 You cant give him a 5 or 6 like i wanted to because his overall rating will jump to 11 which is more then Hearns and Benn

Don't lower his KD rating he really could take a punch.
By the way i am not a fan of Eubank, Benn is more my style LOL

This 4 punch power still lets Benn beat him most times but its a little closer, i have not as yet rated the fighters myself for my own game. Looking at Eubanks punches landed, its tempting to give him another 6 or so 3pt punches in fact.

That will do till i get round to rating him correct.

Thanks for the info wildhawke! Yes, I've heard Chris wasn't too well liked - he's an interesting character. I like the Dark Destroyer too! In fact, I've ordered a book about him from Amazon.com.

What impressed me about those KO's by Chris were when he hit those guys, they looked like puppets who had their strings cut - they went right down. Those KO's I saw were almost Tyson like, which surprised me.
