Player Editing...Bug?
I've been working on updating the CBL roster pack, but have run into irritating problems. When changing a pitcher's stuff, movement, or control, the other 2 ratings increase by a few points. This also happens when changing a batter's contact, power, or eye. The gap power increases. Is there any chance that this can be fixed so that the ratings you are currently editing will be the only ratings changed?

Adding link to a thread started in the General Discussions forum where I have similar concerns. Wasn't sure initially if it was a bug or not, but after playing around with the editor last night, I'm pretty sure that it is. Numbers input are different from those that appear. Using the CSV export/import function doesn't solve the problem entirely (although it's close). Changing a player's ratings also impacts how player development changes are reported. Ratings/Talants changes for some players have reported development number changes that are completely different from those they actually have.
Here's the link: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...threadid=60930 Note: I'm not trying to be a pest - I love everything that Markus and company have done, and I'm confident that all the bugs will be ironed out in due time. |

I'll bump this. I'd like to be able to enter an exact rating than trying to work around it. For example, I enter the pitcher's control versus lefties. Every pitching rating increases by a few points. Also, the pitcher's gap power rating jumps a few points. This happen off and on for players in the CBL roster set. Some players will change a bunch, while others will be the ratings I enter. This makes it difficult to edit or create a roster set.

I've got all eras league i'm updating from ootp5, and run into this problem as well, mostly with pitchers chosen as closers. It skews starters usually a couple of points upwards, but closers are drastically changed, and any attempts to change back become hopeless battles with the #s... I end up reverting briefly back to ootp5 engine and changing there (which still ends up off when its converted back I think)
