Relievers in Hall of Fame
Just curious what most use as the criteria for putting a reliever in the Hall of Fame. 600 saves, 450 saves,etc.,etc.

I don't use saves. Just a lot of dominating innings.

In real life, aren't there only like 3 relievers in MLB history to have over 400 saves as it is? I'm not sure you'd have many relievers in the HoF if you set it to 600.

I usually set the Saves number for HOF to 450 and then just keep an eye on guys who retire. If a reliever that was really good in my opinion retires without enough saves, etc then I just manually place him in the Hall of Fame.

Just did a search of relievers in the Hall of Fame. When Eckersley gets in this summer there will be 3 relievers in. Hoyt Wilhelm, Rollie Fingers and Dennis Eckersley. Wilhelm had 31 saves but didn't make his major league debut til he was 28. He did have 143 wins, 2,253 ip, 1,610k and an E.R.A. of 2.52 Rollie Fingers had 341 sv,114 w, 1,701ip,1,299k and an E.R.A. of 2.90.
