player evaluation for mixed historical league
i created a small league based on expansion teams. i created an empty league and imported specific teams in, eg 1969 san diego padres, 1993 rockies, etc.
the game automatically adjusts the players birthdate, so he remains at the age he was on the import team. so gary sheffield, who happened to finish the year in florida in '93, is 23 yo, even though my league starts in 2000.
now, my question is - when you are setting the player eval %'s, the game gives rating/2000/1999/1998 options. will it recognize that the years in the league setup and individual player history dont match, at least in the numerical sense?
that is, would the AI understand that it would have to look at the 2 prior years of the player, regardless of what years show in the league setup? if you look at sheffields career batting numbers screen you would see 1988,1989,1990,1991,1992,2000.
however, in the players general info screen, under basic stats, his last year (the year of import) is listed respective to the year of my league. so for sheffield, instead of displaying 1993 as his last year, it has 1999.
im hoping the game adjusts for this and distributes the correct percentages.
sorry for the verbose explanation, somehow i feel this description is still confusing...
