One Pitch Mode ????

I am tired of these boring unrealistic console games. I have decided to buy either this game or DMB or both. This game has received far superior reviews but I have one question. Does it have a one pitch mode? Can you switch one pitch mode on and off at any time for crucial situations. DMBs website clearly shows that they have it. I looked all over OOP site and can not find an answer. Someone please help me with an answer. I remember an old game called microleague for the Atari 800 and commodores and it was one pitch and I loved it. Also if you do have one pitch can it result in anything at anytime such as a strikeout, walk, hit, etc....? Please help

OOTP only has one-pitch mode...the only exception is foul balls...

OOTP only uses one-pitch mode.

When you choose to Swing or Pitch, you are given an automatic count and a description of the "final" pitch of the at-bat. The only time it wouldn't the finaly pitch of the at-bat is if a batter fouls the ball off.

So you could have a 2-1 count and a foul ball. Then you can choose to swing away again and the count could be generated to read 3-2 or 2-2, etc.

Hopefully that answers your question.

The only drawback is that if you choose to steal, you do it on an 0-0 count.

Same problem with hit and run, you can't wait for a good count.

Zion... just to make sure you understand, the game does not have pitch-by-pitch mode if that's what you meant. It has batter-by-batter mode only.

I understand

Thank you Henry...one pitch is what I wanted and I was not sure if this game had it. It would be nice to toggle it on and off like in other sims but from what I can tell this game is far superior. Now if I could only find a good boxing or football sim.

Like we didn't see that coming. Zion asks for a good boxing game,a nd steve posts the link.

That was just funny and too much of an oportunity to let go, without saying something.
