1961 League Seeks Chicago White Sox owner

The Shiba league is looking for a new owner for the Chicago White Sox.

The league, which began in 1947, is currently running the 1961 expansion draft. If you're looking for an historically accurate, well-run league with a solid group of owners, then reply to commissioner@snowballhidalgo.com.

A few notes:

Rookies are imported 3 years before their actual debuts.

Financials are turned on. We have a very challenging financial system compared to most online leagues.

Scouts and coaches are turned off.

We us an "arbitration" file to determine the length and amount of contract extensions. See the link on the main page for details.

We will most likely migrate to OOTP6 a few weeks after its release.

Responses that look like "d00d i want to playhe in yer league please contract me" will be ignored. I'd like to know if you're in other leagues, how long you've been playing baseball sims, etc., to help me decide on the new owner.

I agree. The financial aspect of this league requires more attention than other leagues because of the ammount of money each team has to spend. This league gets 2 thumbs up from me.

The accuracy of the Commish's home grown rookie database is also exemplary, and with the rooks being drafted when they are mere teenagers it's very realistic. These kids actually need to spend several seasons in the farm system honing their skills.

Or is that the price one has to pay to join such a fine league?

Rookie draft is done, FA bidding has commenced. Still looking for a White Sox owner for the newly expanded 1961 season. This is a very solid league that has been simming since 1947. GM vacancies come up only rarely, maybe one every 3 or 4 seasons.

Both the Colt .45's and ChiSox have been filled and I've added a couple of folks to the waiting list. Thanks to all who expressed an interest in the Shiba League.
