100 Stolen Bases

Has anyone had a guy get that high yet?

It's something that should be rare but I haven't seen it yet. Curious to see if anyone else has.

In my OOTP 5 league, I have a player with 17 steals through the end of april, and I play out my games. I know it's cheating, but even playing out my games, I don't believe that I have ever had a player steal that many. In my historical league, I had a couple on my team do it, but I had the stealing tendencied for both the players and the teams up there.

to tone down Steals= Seldom or Not Often if you want closer to realistic MLB totals.

Adjust as YOU see fit

I simmed all games. Turned up stealing for that guy pretty high. (He was rated 100 in both stealing and baserunnign awareness.)

Well, the way I look at it, with a B rated stealer, I would tend to try and steal more than I believe the computer would for my guy. I don't know it it's true, I have no analysis on it.

They are run on the same engine - however - if you have one of the primere baserunners in the league - someone with loads of speed and stealing ability, you might have him almost go every time (except in situations which would risk the game). You can set a certain player's stealing all the way up and he still won't run as much as if you played the game.

i have seen high steals in simmed games...sometimes they get way more than if i played it...

because there times where cpu controlled team had base stealers on top of the leader board....

so to me it doesnt seem to me like if u have a good base stealers u will always get more than the rest of the games that are simmed while u playing your game...

i could be wrong...now u got me thinking

The most steals I've had is 121 with a guy rated 9 in speed and 10 in steals. I've also had many players with 70 to 80 steal in a season. The most I ever had in OOTP5 was 104 from Eddie Collins in the deadball era. I really like the upswing in steals as long as they don't get out of control like HRs in real life.

I had Dummy Hoy steal 100 during the 1901 season 89/77.
