Pitchers starting too many games

I know this had been brought up before by someone else, but the search for the thread keeps timing out on me. The pitchers in my leagues keep finishing with 44-46 starts. I have tried leagues with 16 and 24 teams and simmed multiple seasons. I am using the default schedule (no stickware). Rotation are set to 5 man and start highest rested starter. I used this same setup in v.5 and would get 34-37 starts from my pitchers. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the starts down? I could set it to a strict 5 man rotation, but that might get too few starts. Any help would be appreciated...

For right now, it seems like most people need to set "Strict Order." I believe that the game is giving less starts to the 4, 5, and spot starter slots and more to the first 3 on the account that starters return to a rested form a bit faster than in v.5.

Check the Era settings, you might have it in the wrong era and thus the pitchers are considered able to go longer and rebound faster

I changed everyone to strict rotation.

My concern is, what should I do come playoff time? will the computer-controlled teams' AI know to scrap the 5 man rotation in the playoffs?

Thanks for all the feedback. I switched it to the 80's+ era (from 60-79) and it still is doing the same thing. I will switch to the strict rotation for now. I'm hoping it is an endurance (or recovery) thing that will be fixed. If it is not fixed, it is not a show stopper.

Yes, this is a known issue (start highest rested starter and too many starts in modern era).
