Yet another thread with Waiver questions

I am in my third season using OOTP6. I imported a long running OOTP5 career and everything has been going very smoothly. However I am confused by the rules of how Waivers work. I have 2-3 very good middle releivers at the MLB level who have been with me for quite some time. They are all around 30 years old, and about to run out of the "auto resign" option in a year or so, which means I will have to sign them to a real contract.

Here is my problem. Late in the season I started getting emails saying "so and so has put a claim on such and such pitcher", and "our trade with such and such team was not able to go through because a player did not clear waivers". Here's the problem, I haven't placed a single player on waivers all season, and I haven't accepted a single trade all season. How are other teams putting in claims on my players if I don't even place them on waivers? How can a trade that I didn't even accept fail to go through? Especialy well past a month since the trade deadline. Somebody please explain, and/or point me in the direction of a good website with full waiver explanation.

I think those teams are basically looking to make trades with you after the deadline. But the trades are rejected before they are even offered because the players they want haven't cleared waivers yet.

I get those all season long. It's really annoying and possibly a bug, maybe.

I have this problem as well

I have had this happen as well. AJ Burnett who I moved from the DL to the active Roster. I did decline a trade with a team durning the deadline. but I do find it annoyning and had to check and see if the computer added to the Waivers. I have had this happen on two players. I hope it will be addressed in the next patch.
