Unhappy Fifth Starter

Ok, I've ran through a season with two different leagues in OOTP6. One league was fictitious and I had the computer do all of the work while the other was an imported (from OOTP5) 1993 career league. Both times, the team that I controlled was set for a five man rotation and the fifth starter never started... not once. I checked to make sure the league was set for a five-man rotation in the era settings and the fifth starter for my team was in fine health. What am I missing or is something wrong?

Everything looked the same as it did in OOTP5, so I don't know what's up.

Someone please let me know...

Thanks,
Paul

If you have it set to "start highest rested", that may need to be tweaked some more.

Thanks, that seems to work. It never did that in 5 and I usually never messed with that setting, so that is why I didn't even think about that.

Thanks,
Paul

Yes, it seems that the highest rested starter setting will result in too many starts for the top pitchers in the rotation.

Yeah, it got tweaked once. At first, only the top 3 got starts regardless of a 4 or 5 man rotation. It was adjusted, but seems to work best if you expect the top 4 to get more starts. Maybe pitchers need to stay tired longer in the modern era. But in the older eras when 4 man rotations were the norm, this seems to work about like it should.
