Can we at least get a "OOTP6 will NOT be released today" announcement if it won't be?

Even an announcement like this each morning might help--at least maybe tamp down the mob.

Perhaps you should consider a less dopey .sig. It's hard to take you seriously otherwise.

On a lighter note, since we're not supposed to use the "R" word, perhaps we should come up with synonyms.

"When is OOTP6 going to be ejaculated?"

I would love it if it was today, I'm off work and don't have another day off till Sunday and the wife is also off that day so that means no baseball that day.

I have been biting my tongue, reading the board messages, and now this is getting silly.

Problem with no concrete release date (AKA... a DEADLINE) is that it can always be extended. Over a week ago, we were told that there may be something out in a week without the H2H. Well, all we have a week and a day since that was offered to placate us purchasers of the game is silence. Geez, I wish I could tell my boss (we are the one's with the money... and money talks here people) he would get his product when he gets it.

I now know what a UN Weapons Inspector felt like in Iraq... yeah, we have no explicit deadline, but it will be done in due time...

yeah, whatever.

That's funny. I just looked up "release" on thesaurus.com for the hell of it. One of the synonyms for release is "floater".

After I finish this cup of coffee, I'm going to release a floater.

No we weren't told that. We were told that Markus would finish the game without H2H "sometime next week". Now in programmer speak, as well as most other businesses, "sometime next week" ALWAYS means Thursday or Friday, and the week doesn't actually end until midnight on Saturday. Markus also left himself a way out by saying he would THEN decide whether to release the game without H2H. Bottom line: Markus has broken no promises here. Come back Saturday at midnight.

Look, I too would want a game that is ready when it is released. However, how hard would it be to just give people more updates. We did, after all pay money....didn't we. I am not asking to necessarily release it "now". Only more frequent updating so that we know are money is actually hard at work.

If they were going to keep us ignorant, I wish they had made it absolute.

Openning day was mentioned.
April 15th was mentioned.
Sometime next ( and now this) week was mentioned.
Potentially one week earlier than april 15th was mentioned.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

If people are playing 'detective' it's because we've seen dropped clue's and then were left hanging with nothing to do but extrapolate from them.

I still don't see what all the fuss is about. No release date was ever set. This is much better than when dates are set, and then moved back like Halo 2, Ninja Gaiden, Duke Nukem Forever, HL2 just to name a few.

As an aside, don't you think you are taking it a bit too far calling the mods Nazis? Maybe they are censoring (which is their right, it is their board), but to compare them to a group of people who tried to exterminate another on religious beliefs is not only insensitive and offensive, but totally offbase. Tipper Gore, school districts across the country, or the FCC are more appropriate comparisons.

Oh, and being nice usually gets questions answered faster.
