My OOTP6 League - Suggestions?

First of all I want to thank Markus and this community. This is a great game and I’ve gotten some great ideas from this board. While we’re all waiting for OOTP6 (no rush, I’m tired of paying to be a beta-tester for big game companies) I thought I’d share the league I’m going to run for OOTP6 and get any feedback from the veterans here on any problems I might encounter.

Custom league starting in 1870.
32 teams, 2 leagues, 4 div each
(adding New Orleans & Washington to current teams)
162 games, Baseball Boom settings, DH for both leagues
No initial draft
Fill teams with minor-leaguers and run automanager

In subsequent years I’ll import real rookies from the Lahman database. (I’m currently using Ankit for OOTP5, but I want some random development for this league). I’ll review and make changes to the rookies before the draft. I realize I’m going to have to add fictional players every few years to keep the supply up. I’m thinking of filling A level up every 5 years or so.

I’m currently running a historical league from 1903 to 1985 (and will continue to) but I want to make this one a little harder. I’m pretty bad using the edit button.

Any suggestions for me?

I’m currently downloading all my graphics and can’t wait for the release.

I tried something similar to this once and the AI for the computer teams had a hard time the first couple of years properly promoting any pitchers to the majors. Otherwise it soulds really cool

One team started their catcher 162 times at pitcher that season. Amazingly he never got hurt
