In zip below you will find import files for images of 7 oldtime parks from ea mvp2004 (images for installation to follow in posts below):
Crosley Field Cincinnati, Ohio home of the Reds, 1912-1970 Tiger Stadium Detroit, Michigan home of the Tigers, 1912-1999 Griffith Stadium Washington, DC home of the Senators, 1903-1961 Shibe Park Philadelphia, PA. home of the athletics, 1909-1954 Sportsman's Park St. Louis, Missouri home of the Cardinals, 1920-1966 Polo Grounds New York, New York home of the Giants, 1911-1957 Forbes Field Pittsburgh, PA. home of the Pirates, 1909-1970 Ballpark ratings etc. are from Soxmans awesome historical site http://priorydesign.netmag.easyspace.com/ I used the 1934 ratings for all parks. Thank you, Soxman! Inspiration for screenshot angle and player positioning from JoeRockEHF's amazing High Heat 2004 MLB Stadiums for OOTP5 which is available at his very cool site: http://www.ootpdownloadcenter.com/ Thanks again, JoeRockEHF! Instructions 1) Download "Oldtime" zip below which includes park "import" files and installation readme. 2) Download all individual park images below by right-clicking and then clicking "save picture as..." 3) Follow installation instructions in readme. please contact me if you have any problems (BTW: If you are bothered by slight wide-angle appearance and fact that quite a bit of park is obscured by scoreboard, you can adjust images by resizing using Paint : start Paint and set "Image attributes" to 802 / 602 pixels and then load image to be adjusted using "paint from..." ; then resize by pulling top dotted line down about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches. Of course you will have to adjust player position coordinates through "edit park" in game. Personally, I think image loses "3D" quality and ends up not looking quite as good --- but it is really just a matter of personal taste.) raindelay7 Last edited by raindelay7; 03-17-2004 at 02:01 AM. |

Great job raindelay7! I'll have these up on my site shortly. These parks look very nice.
Joe Edit -- They are up on the site. The zip on my site contains the stadium images as well.

Very cool, Joe..THNX
btw, if anyone is bothered by "wide-angle" appearance of images and/or fact that a lot of park is obscured by scoreboard please see note for adjusting that I added to post at top of thread. |

Hey Dbacks,
Sorry to get off topic, I've got a habit of doing that, but I love your Ty Cobb story in your post-thing (forgot what they're called). I've never heard that before- funny. BTW- my HUNDREDTH POST, yeah!, congratulate me - j/k |

Bump to thank you, raindelay (and Ankit, too, for the modern stadia) for the great work! I was curious whether there were any more old-time parks in the game - specifically, I'm looking for Ebbets Field and the Baker Bowl. If they're available, is there any way you could put 'em up?
Thanks again for the great stadium shots! |
