Injuries Question

Hello hello...

can someone give me a brief tutorial on day-to-day injuries? My 2b just went down for 5 weeks with a day-to-day injury and is listed at 80%... can I still play him? Becasue he didn't finish out the week at his position, so i'm assuming not... and if not, why is the injury considered day-to-day? Anyways, and help would be appreciated.

Yes he can still play BUT he's only at 80% effectiveness, the likelihood that he will get injured is increased playing him at "DTD".

ah, ok... so... why was he taken out the lineup for the rest of the week of my sim league? I mean, he's still listed there... but he didn't play.

I would imagine that in an "injury" situation it's up to YOU to make the decision, if the game plays him and he gets hurt in a more serious manner then you'd be even more upset. If you make the choice then the responisibilty for the injury being more serious is your's.

*bump*

I'm running through my first season in a solo league and I've also wondered how the sim treats day-to-day injuries...

My 1B was injured on 14 Sept. he's listed "day-to-day" one week recovery time. He's my starter vs LH and vs RH. He's also listed as the starter in the depth chart.

My assumption is that if I don't want him to play I have to change the lineups & the depth chart. Or can I just replace him in the line-up?
