Infield Fly

Just wanted to know if this rule was ever included in any of the OOTP releases... I'm currently waiting for OOTP 6 to get onto the bandwagon.. I'm currently using STB, a few instances i've had and infield fly dropped by an infielder and runners advance or score on the error...
Just wanted to know if anyone ever thought about this or not...
It's a rule that i feel should be included in the game...

It's included in the latest OOTP5 patch, and it's wrong in some cases. I can't recall for certain what they are, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it called in the play-by-play when there's a runner only on first.

I've seen it called on foul balls caught by infielders -- a situation where it clearly would not be in effect. I've never seen one dropped, but I don't think I've ever seen a pop fly of any sort dropped by an infielder in OOTP.

Infield fly rule is in the game.

Strange as it seems...no one but outfielders ever drop fly balls in OOTPB.

No one ever drops a throw.

No one ever drops a foul fly.

RF/LF/SS/2B never catch a foul fly.

No one ever throws the ball away at second base on an attempted double play.

No error on bunts.

No stealing home.

No stealing with 2 strikes.

Hopefully in OOTP6 the many missing plays will be addressed.

I have seen RF and LF catch foul balls....but its really rare, more so than it should be.

I've always wondered about this one. I have no idea about how easy or difficult it would be to add this feature, but stealing home is a pretty rare occurence so I imagine it takes the back-burner in terms of importance.

RF and LF do catch foul flies, just not very often.

As of the 5.14 patch, infielders do throw the ball away at second base on an attempted double play.

I have seen both happen several times.

Thanks for the info. I have never seen either. It's good to know they are in the game. They just need to increase the frequency.

I sim the first 6 innings and play out the rest of the game.

Maybe I need to play out the entire game.

I would like to know if not only this is implied into the game, but as well as other things that happen in the game. How about a foul ball pop up? Or a wild pitch?

Yes to both.
