Really only have two big wishes for OOTP6

1. Statistics that will split between teams if a player's time was split. It's all that's needed to make win shares really work and be reliable. I know it's been discussed and it would be a lot of work, but something big needs to be added for OOTP6, and this would be very popular, I'm sure.

2. Customizable league and division structures for those of us that want to replay all of MLB history. I'd like to be able to add leagues, make 12-team divisions, and the like. I know this might also entail a lot of work, but again, that's what upgrades are for!

im sure thats stuff that could go in patches for v5....

for v6 we need to come up with something grand... like multiplayer over the net

for v7 a 3d engine so we can play and watch the games and not just run the team!

=)

You can play and watch the games now, just not in 3d.

Which is fine by me. I use my imagination when I play out my games. I like that better than a 3d graphical representation. But that's just me.

I agree completely with Prez's suggestions.

Mind you, it is possible to do the 1892-1899 NL years, you just have to split into two 6 team divisions and ignore any post-season that occurs. A workaround, to be sure, but at least its possible.

Of course, not having to do a workaround would be ideal.

I know - I'd just like to be able to have the emergence and disappearance of the AA, and the addition of the AL, without going through all kinds of machinations.

And zyk, I agree that there are things that could improve the game, but I was actually just trying to address the only area where I feel the game is actually lacking something that NEEDS to be there - the ability to realistically replay MLB's past.

I'll be rabble-rousing for this until it happens..... hopefully in OOTP6, I'd hate to be doing this for TWO more years.....

For OOTP 9 I would like "Order Pizza" hotkey...

You don't know how many times I could have really used this down the stretch in the middle of a tight Pennant race.

I think #1 stands of chance of being incorporated in a v5 update.

On #2 I would like to see expansion and contraction made easier. For record-keeping purposes there are a lot of reasons that what's there currently is insufficient. Change league structure at the end of the previous season and your league history is off. Change them at the start of the next season and you have individual players' records with the wrong teams. So I would also like to see this addressed at least somewhat.

Ive been wanting this forever. Most games do have it and i really dont see why it hasnt been added to ootp.

This sounds cool to,even though i would never use it.

Just giving this another bump.....

I think #1 (the team splits over the course of the season) is absolutely a must for ASAP - it would help every single league - historical, fictional, real-life.... and would make utilities such as Cato's able to give actual, meaningful Win Share information.

PLEASE - I know it's more difficult than it seems - I've heard that answer before - but is it at all possible we could see this in a patch? If not, I'd really really really like to see it in OOTP6.....
