DH and injuries

Was wondering if anyone has ever noticed whether or not a player that is mostly used as a DH is less likely to be injured. I would think yes, and am asking because I have a "prone" guy (Juan gone), and am considering putting him at DH, to minimize his chance of being injured. Also was wondering if injury settings change due to his injury history; or if a player is always prone, normal, or durable.

I haven't noticed a player's position affecting his injury frequency. I believe the injury settings are static, unless you edit them; if Player X is "prone" or "durable" he's always going to be "prone" or "durable."

I don't know if the program factors in player age, either - it seems reasonable that older players would get injured somewhat more frequently than when they were younger, but I don't think 5 does this.

I didn't think necessarily a position change would affect the frequency, but I thought possibly DH may, since the player would be involved in only the 5 plays a game when he is batting (plus when he is on base).

Since a good chunk of injuries happen on defensive plays, DHing a guy would probably cut down on the overall chance of injury.
