Problem with Pierre's Team/Player Importer

I'm trying to create a new leage which is a subset of All-Stars from an existing league I have. I've created a new league and set all the parameters as I like. Then I close out of OOTP5 and run Pierre's Importer program. After moving the players I want over to the right side, I set them all to import to FA and then click process. I then open OOTP5 and get an invalid player file message. My source league is at the end of the season just prior to hitting the proceed to next season button. My target league is ready to do it's initial draft. I'm running OOTP5.14 on WinXP. Anyone have any ideas why I always get this error when starting a league from scratch?

Well, it seems that it doesn't import well into leagues that have no players. I added a player to the league free agent pool, and then was able to import the player using Pierre's utility.
