best free webhost?

I just noticed that freewebs doesn't allow FTP for their free service.

So, what's a good free host that allows about 50mb's and FTP access?

ootp-leagues.com

But you have to 12 guys in the league who own the game and haven't used there "id" for another league. Otherwise, you'll need to pay.

http://www.staghosting.com is nice. I use it, 200MB free, 2GB of bandwidth (but I ALWAYS go over and they don't care) and it's all free. Plus 1 free MySQL folder so you can get BOSI or a Message Board. But now I think you need to have your own domain name.

If you were able to hold out until OOTP6 came out, you'd have better luck. Alot of GM's have prolly used their ID's long times ago...

StagHosting does have it's occasional problems, but I feel for the cost of $0 it's very much worth it.

you shouldn't need the ordering ID's to apply for webspace.

Your owners need to send their full name and order ID directly to Andreas.

I don't know if you are replying to me or to Cuss. But if it's to me, then what I said was in reponse to Cuss, saying you shouldn't need to use IDs, saying that OOTP-Leagues you need IDs.

If you were replying to Cuss, then this just gives me +1 to posts!

Well, it was mainly for the main poster, so give yourself a +0.5 for effort

So the resolution:
One of the owners in the league is offering space. The site is going to run on PHPNuke for the time being (just for the experience of working with it, ease to update, whatever). I may move over to oopt-leagues. But I think it's wierd to have to ask for ID #'s. I guess it prevents having to host an overzealous solo leaguer.

So yeah, that's still an option though, as long as like half my guys aren't in other ootp-league sites.

Patrick- its because he wants people who own the game, rather than those who are violating the license agreement by sharing the 2 licences, and also instead of those who haven't bought the game and still play in online leagues...

I use www.hostultra.com

200 MB webspace, free FTP use, unlimited bandwidth and it's only been down about twice in six months.

No ads either.

Works for me.

If you look around u can find some places that offer very cheap rates for enough space....I have seen some that charge $12 for a YEAR, I am not saying they will be reliable but they are out there.....
