It could still happen
I know it has been said already that there will be no ITP news or updates but I still say lets show are support and who knows maybe someday we will have it back. My sig will stay the same until we have a new ITP. "If we talk about it....it will come"

Please don't do this to yourself, or me.
I've currently got a catcher in his 20th year and am considering it to be my last. I have accepted that I will never have the career batting title. How did I even get here?

lol, think of it this way. When Donnie Baseball was on the team, they didn't win anything. He just missed on both sides of his career

If you have a wii or other system you might want to look into MLB Power Pro Baseball. Here is a link to a review for it on IGN. I have heard good things about the game and it also features a career mode similar to ITP from what I am told.

bah, no! I cannot bring myself to think about trying to play a back-yard style game!
I figured that's what the game would look like the second I saw the word WII...sorry, not my taste.... |

I'm hoping that maybe there will be some sort of ITP in the next OOTP. Now that would be great. Maybe even put some TBCB in there for the baseball and some bar room brawls.

It's probably one of the deepest console baseball sims on the market. Yes, it rivals The Show. |

meh, I saw the graphics. Looks too cartoony for my tastes for sports. Anyway, I don't own a wii. I was thinking of getting one though. But I don;t think I would get any sports games on that console for that reason.

Yea, I took keep hoping they will eventually make a new ITP, ideally one which could plug into the OOTP game. If not new, then at least one that doesn't crash so much that most my careers get fauled up. Any chance they would make it open source and allow others to work on it?

If you look at their Christmas Specials, ITP is included which is always good news.

Yep I hope that it will sell some more copies and show how much more this game needs a second life.

For the price of $13 I say buy it if you have the cash. It is a really fun game and gives you something new to try out. A lot of ppl say it has bugs but if your new to the game you probably won't notice them. I have played the game since it came out and the way I play it I have never had problems with it.
As far as replay ability, I have always found that trying to make a guy and have him break records is the best part. I would make tons of guys and try to break all the records. Also a cool feature in the game is the fact that you get your own baseball card and it will increase in value overtime. Its fun to get a card that is worth alot. Oh as far as showing its age. Well it does in one way, the fact that you can import your ootp 5 league into the game. So that there shows its an older game. If you have ootp 5 then great, makes the game even better for you, but I think it still holds up well and allows you to still have fun with it. So I hope you buy it and enjoy what alot of us have enjoyed. Last edited by AirmenSmith; 12-16-2008 at 09:35 PM. |

I was wondering if they fixed the HUGE promotion/demotion bug with pitchers, prior to re-advertising it. Can we get a patch please?
That will make you want to stab yourself in the neck. But besides that, an enjoyable game.

I think the last thing I remember about a patch was that it was being worked on but then disappeared. Hopefully once ITP 2 comes out it will have that fixed.
