Namath's Interview Explained

Score one for everyone who thought he was drunk.

It was pretty obvious. Plus, as I stated in the post about that incident with the FOX reporter, he's a known drunk among the Giants stadium staff.
Good to see he's finally going to get some help. Maybe now, Suzie Kolber will finally kiss him !

Maybe when he's not drunk he won't want to kiss her.

No. This is football. Score 6, then go for the extra point, right?

A shame to see this happen to such a quality, classy quarterback.

Namath's drinking is not the problem. If anything, it helps him. I mean, if he's sober, does he have the guts to go up to Suzi Kolber and ask for a kiss?
If there is any problem, it is that Kolber doesn't drink enough. If she had been a little liquored up, she might have said "yes" to Broadway Joe.

No kidding. Next you are going to tell me Snake Stabler isn't the choir boy we all thought.

Hey seriously

Good for Joe,

I have heard numerous stories about how he would go out of his way, to talk to fans like they were long lost friends. He accepts his fame, yet doesn't feel superior.

Yes, he has a drinking problem, yes he acted like an ass, but it's a good thing he did. Sometimes you need something drastic like that to happen to get help for a problem. I for one am glad he asked for that kiss, and I am sure, he phoned Suzi and told her he is getting help...and she was a part of him finally seeing he has a serious drinking problem.

So jokes aside...here's hoping Broadway Joe beats his addiction.
