Problem?

I started a character in the HORROR mode. I just wanted to try something; so I created my character with a 100 in contact rating and everything else either a 10, 20 or 30. Well, as a 26 year old, I just batted .399 (FULL AAA season!!), and I never once got the call up with my ratings maxed out. Well, the next season I get the call up during september, and somehow I earned an everyday spot in the order for the rest of the month as our team was battling out for first place the entire month. Well, after batting a good .312 or so during this month, they sent me down after it!!! What the heck? I get called up, start everyday, then get called down. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Any ideas?

It probably depends on a couple of things:

1) What position you play. If you're a 1B with no power, the game probably won't think higher of you.

2) Bias of the AI for power hitters. This is known.

3) Who's in front of you? If a guy in the majors is a star or simply more well-rounded, you might not be called up.

4) Other stats. My guess is that while you hit .312, your slugging was probably under .400 and your OPS was under .800. I've built a similar character and had the same problems.

5) Defense. If you're rated really poorly at defense, that's not going to help your case any.

If any of those are true, I can see why you would get demoted and/or bounce around a lot. If you get traded to or sign with a weaker team, you might see more playing time too.

Interesting...... I'm above average in the defense department.

I'm not a power hitting guy at all.. lol

I play outfield...

Ehhh... I can't remember what the details were exactly before I got released for the 8th time.

But I've recently gotten signed to the Dodgers, and currently bat 2nd playing right field. So maybe finally I've gotten my due.
