Disappearing Minor League Players

I've come across a problem, in OOTP 4.0c, where a lot of players have been removed from some of my minor league rosters to what seems to be nowhere. If I search for the player, it still says they are on my team, but they are nowhere to be found if I go to the Roster screen or the Transaction Screen. I've tried clicking auto-manage minor leagues, but they still do not appear. If I look at the Transaction News I can see the following:

Sunday 3/31/2004 :
Rocco Palmieri was promoted from A Lancaster Jethawks to .
Oswaldo Salomon was promoted from A Lancaster Jethawks to .
Alfonso Bevilacqua was promoted from A Lancaster Jethawks to .
Dana Wisner was sent down from AA El Paso Diablos to A Lancaster Jethawks.
Joe Marek was promoted from AA El Paso Diablos to .
Bertram Bunce was activated from the DL.
Bertram Bunce was promoted from A Lancaster Jethawks to AA El Paso Diablos.
Jason Bulger was promoted from A Lancaster Jethawks to AA El Paso Diablos.

Any ideas as to how I can ?re-activate? these players to one of my rosters?

How many players do you have on your minor league roster?

IIRC this problem is associated with having tons of players in the minor leagues.

Active 25

AAA - 19

AA - 22

A - 40

The problem is too many players at the A level, release the duds and you should be ok. For some reason this is happening, it is an issue we are aware of. If other computer controlled teams have a similar minor league system they will have the same problem also.
